Privacy Policy

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the MathBell website and the MathBell iPhone app. MathBell is a product by Curato Labs.

No account, no backend

MathBell does not require or offer sign-in of any kind. There is no MathBell server that stores your alarms or your usage. Your alarms, settings and solve history are stored locally on your device.

Alarms permission

MathBell asks for permission to schedule alarms using the iPhone alarm system (AlarmKit) so your alarm can ring in Silent mode and Focus. This permission is handled by iOS. MathBell does not need access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera.

Information we do collect

MathBell uses Firebase Analytics (from Google) for anonymous product analytics. It records app events such as:

• Onboarding finished and whether the alarms permission was granted or denied.
• An alarm was created, changed, deleted or switched on or off, with settings such as how many days it repeats, puzzle difficulty and number of problems.
• A puzzle was opened, solved or snoozed, with how long it took and how many wrong answers were entered.
• The Pro screen was viewed.

These events do not include your name, email address, alarm labels or any personal content. MathBell does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not use App Tracking Transparency. Firebase may also receive standard technical information such as app version, device model and operating system version.

If you contact support, we receive whatever you include in that email, such as your email address, device details, and the message itself.

No ads

MathBell shows no advertising and includes no ad network SDK. No advertising data is collected.

Payments

MathBell Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check and restore your Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your install and your purchase receipt from Apple, and nothing that identifies you personally. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Restore Purchases is supported.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The only outside parties involved in running MathBell are Apple (for alarms and purchases), RevenueCat (for the Pro purchase) and Google Firebase (for the anonymous analytics events listed above). We may disclose limited information where required by law or to protect users, Curato Labs, or the public.

Your choices

You can turn off the alarms permission for MathBell at any time in iOS Settings. Removing the app removes everything MathBell stored locally on your device.

Children

MathBell does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. No data is collected by MathBell that could identify a user, adult or child.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MathBell evolves. The latest version will always be published at this URL with the revised date.
